Who Are We

Bitmap Bulgaria was established in 2010 by a few GIS enthusiasts who wanted to deliver high-quality GIS services tailored to the Bulgarian market. We believe we succeeded, and today, in 2023, we have the experience and proven projects to remain one of the most innovative GIS companies in Bulgaria. We are certified under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2022.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create high-quality information systems for working with spatial data. We believe the evolution of GIS is increasingly shifting toward web-based technologies, and we focus on developing modern Web GIS solutions. In 2022, we launched our first WebGIS product: WebMAP—a modern, fast system for regional development and public registers at the municipal level.

Discover

Sometimes, identifying a problem depends on perspective. You can look at it from above—or analyze the spectral signature of the territory.

Define

Sometimes, finding the problem depends on your point of view. You can look at it from above—or analyze the area’s spectral signature.

Once the problem is identified, we define its parameters. There may be three or four, or there may be thousands, depending on the complexity. Then we move on to the next step.

03.

Design

After the preparation stage, we design a GIS model—covering data, rules, relationships, and topology—capable of solving the problem.

04.

Develop

Running the model is more than simply starting a calculation. In most cases, we need to test different scenarios and combinations of parameters to understand the model’s behaviour. That’s why we build custom environments that make this exploration possible.

05.

Deploy

If the model’s behaviour provides clear answers to our questions, it’s time to deploy the solution on the client side and tailor it to specific needs.

06.

Deliver

Final delivery is usually completed with appropriate training to ensure correct use of the results. After that, we continue to support the client so they can fully benefit from the solution.
